First Blood

In the 1989 movie "American Angels: Baptism of Blood", the final showdown between Magnificent Mimi (Mimi Lesseos) and Luscious Lisa (Jan McKenzie) contained an unusual feature.

Apart from the winner's purse of $20,000, there was a prize of $5,000 for the first lady to draw blood from her opponent's face.

While this "bonus prize" might be too extreme for some tastes, it would certainly add spice to contests where the cat-fighters agreed to scrape and scratch each other until one of them was bleeding.

Spectators could place bets on this mini-contest also. To enable fans to make an informed wager, of course, the ladies would have to present themselves with their hair bundled up for a pre-fight facial inspection. Only then could gamblers decide whose skin was more likely to break first.

The purpose of the poll is to see what members think of a "First Blood Bonus Prize".

I would be interested in watching a catfight like this my rules would be no biting or scratching but slaps to the face would be allowed, so the girls would be basically slap boxing each other until one bleeds and i would enjoy every minute of it.

Yeah, not my cuppa tea at all. Blood is not something I actually want to see in any fight. If it happens in legitimate sporting contest, as it may sometimes do in boxing for example, that's fine. But for it to be an intentional act, as part of a fight, that's not appealing at all.

I guess my opinion is also largely because I've never considered scratching, clawing, etc even the tiniest bit erotic in a combat situation.

I tend to think that blood is really not part of the pro wrestling theme. It should be a contest of wrestling knowledge and ability. Blood may happen, but it should be induced, not in pro style anyway. Now in a Roman Gladaitor Match, sure

Nah, I don't want the women to get torn up, that's not sexy to me. I want them to leave the fight looking worked over and sweaty, but not injured or disfiguired.

American Angels was a super sexy movie. There was an even sexier "first blood" match on the old "Renegade" TV show with Lorenzo Lamas. They did a two part show about underground fighting where Lamas was trying to find his older brother. In one scene, there's a party for all the high-rollers who attend the fights. They have a blonde and an super hot Asian fight in a pool for "first blood"......if you've never seen it, I recommend watching for it in reruns....

Not familiar with the Renegade match. How were the girls dressed? How long did the fight last?

I'm a big Daffney fan & I came across one of her TNA matches on YouTube where the stipulation was, yep, a "First Blood" match. Naturally this is pro-rasslin' so the blood is fake, & neither gal is actually bloodied. Still, Daff is ever the gothy ham, & once her blood is drawn first she goes into the whole 'mesmerized by it' bit while her opponent's arm is raised in victory.

Sigh...if there's ever a gal I'd love to go 12 rounds with its Daff!
