The final, championship match in "All the Marbles" features some of the best women's wrestling action ever shot.

The California Dolls suffer some rough treatment from the Toledo Tigers before claiming victory, and one sequence involves the beautiful blonde Molly (Laurene Landon) being double-teamed by June (Ursaline Bryant-King) and Diane (Tracy Reed).

Molly is being rag-dolled in the middle of the ring by June, who grabs her by the hair and runs her towards the Tigers' corner. There, Diane's knee is waiting and it makes full contact with Molly's face to send the blonde backwards onto the canvas, her long hair billowing from the impact.

June wastes no time in closing in on her weakened opponent. She picks Molly up by the hair and brings her on a return journey to the same corner. This time it's Diane's elbow that does the damage, causing Molly to crumple from the effects of the second collision.

Superb action, and wonderfully well captured on the big screen.

A true classic, is "All the Marbles" even available on DVD? I know the big screen version came out in 1980. Vicki Fredrick's ass does it for me...

Penthouse Forum (that little pocket-sized book in the adult section) had a story on Joan Wise back in the '80's, Her real life hubby is a catfight nut, Joan is like his 4th wife, he kept marrying women who were better fighters, if a woman beat his current wife, he'd marry her and so on...lucky SoB...

I agree with the fistfights where they start out even, but slowly become one sided, and finally even as the one girl is all but out the winning girl lifts her to her feet for more punishment, until she is to tired to lift her any longer and Ko's her.

Great action, great film but I prefer the match against the Tigers, the one where Diane beats up on Vicki with a whole host of sexy holds (Diane even makes a headlock sexy against Vicki), then she double teams her with June, and then June takes over for the pin of the completely beat & sobbing Vicki.
I once had the pleasure of swapping some e-mails with Laurene Landon. She said that sequence took 3 weeks to film. Can you imagine that? Going to work every day for 3 weeks to be pummelled by Diane & June

Impressive. Did she mention the mud-wrestling sequence? I read an interview with her once where she said both she and Vikki Frederick hated that part of the movie. "They hosed us down like cattle," she complained.

Not alone did they have to shoot the mud-fight once, but Aldrich made them redo the whole scene 24 hours later because he felt they tried to cover their boobs with mud to avoid being seen totally topless. Only when the girls had fought bare-breasted was he satisfied.

Degrading? For sure. But the sight of Landon and Frederick with their tits out, eventually dripping with mud, added to the movie's appeal.

I think this is my all-time favourite fight. Lucy was gorgeous then, and unlike a lot of her later Festelle fights, this one seemed real. Her utter helplessness at the end of the fight, showed how much she had been dominated.

In truth though: surprise surprise - backbreaker holds are my personal money shot. The Ladyfist gals have gotten selling the victim's expressions while in that hold, down to a science. Lots of others limit them to a few brief seconds or, worse, the breaker doesn't know how to set it up or apply it correctly. Add to that a 'victim' who acts like she's just clockwatching til the match is over & she can get paid &....

I love the moment the fight is obviously going in one girls favor, and instead of stopping she angrily pours on the beating. There are some companies that make good videos like this but I like to use pics from Footmode or one of their other clubs. It is a testament to their products that someone with no interest in feet still vist them regularly.
